Karaoke Night

Zach here. Just yesterday I was talking about something big coming soon. That’s still true…but this isn’t it.

Last night was, like many nights of the week for us, karaoke night. We drove to Tacoma to see a friend’s band play (http://www.myspace.com/livingknights) and afterwards accompanied them to one of their favorite local spots where you can sing into a microphone in front of people six nights of the week.

Hours passed and I was riding shotgun in Danny Hibbard’s car singing the Chicago tune I hadn’t gotten the chance to do at the bar and sending text messages to a girl I’d only met briefly a few days before and whose number had made it into my phone by accident. I guess just to say “what’s up?” We’d been driving for between five and ten minutes when Nandan spoke up from the backseat. “Oh wait, I forgot the camera.”

I was in a good mood and somehow it didn’t seem all that devastating that a bag filled with seventy-eight thousand (million) dollars worth of equipment had been left sitting in a bar around closing time.

“City and state?”
“Tacoma, WA”
“For what listing?”
“Puget Sound Pizza.”
“Just one moment please while I connect you.”

A guy named John answered the phone. Nandan described the camera bag and its location. John found it: “oh, you want this bag.”

We drove back, picked it up, and a nine billion dollar loss was thus narrowly avoided. It isn’t much of a story, I just thought it demonstrated our competence nicely.

Hype Tremors

Zach here. Happy May. For a second there, we were really on a role with all of the recent updates. Maybe you’re wondering why things seem to have slowed down so suddenly. I’ll tell you why. Some hefty shit is going to drop this weekend. Far heftier than today’s release of “Wolverine”, perhaps even heftier than next week’s release of “Star Trek”, and admittedly no where near as hefty as June’s release of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. Especially if you see it on IMAX. But my point is, don’t let your guard down. Check back either tomorrow night or on Sunday.

Also, my friend Brett dropped our name a couple of weeks ago on his blog. I wanted to take this opportunity to return the favor because I think he’s a cool guy. Judge him for yourself at http://byebyebrett.blogspot.com/

Where am I?
