Side Projects

Zach here. Nandan is out of town for the next few weeks, and while I’ll still be hard at work on the film, I feel his absence provides a perfect opportunity to get started on some other projects that I’ve been developing. There are two in particular that I’m hoping to get fleshed out into completed screenplays:

My first idea is to write something like a cross between The Dead Poet’s Society and The Longest Yard. It’s going to be called Prose and Cons.

My second idea is more of a sci-fi/supernatural thing that could best be described as a cross between Mr. Holland’s Opus and P.S. I Love You. Two hundred years in the future, a frustrated musician unwittingly begins a mysterious correspondence with the long-deceased guitarist of U2. Do you see where I’m going with this? It’s called Postcards From The Edge.

This whole post was funnier when it occurred to me in my sleep last night.
